Techase Makes Speaches in 2019 Urban Polluted Water Seminar

By 2020, the black and odorous water body in the built-up areas of prefecture-level and above cities will be controlled within 10%. This is the clear requirement of the Water Pollution Prevention Action Plan issued by the State Council for the treatment of black and odorous water. The black and odorous water body not only brings a very bad sensory experience to the masses, but also directly affects the people's water environment in live. How to effectively manage it and prevent it from “recurring” is crucial.

On March 27-29, 2019, the "2019 Urban Black and Odorous Water Body Management and Watershed Water Environment Treatment Technology Seminar", which hosted by Fuzhou Urban and Rural Construction Bureau and associates by Techase, was held in Fuzhou. The conference focused on the theme of “Exploration and Practice of Black and Odorous Water Body Management”, discussed and communicated in the national policies, construction experience, industry technology, product exchange and application. The conference invited many professors and experts from domestic universities and the top R&D talents in industry as the Presenter to analyze the new trends, new technologies and new products of urban black and odorous water body treatment!

In this conference, Dr. Song Yu, who is the Dean and R&D Director of SRT Research Institute of Techase, was invited to present the technical introduction on “Black and Odorous Water Body Management”. Based on the analysis of the status of black and odorous water body, Techase has developed a comprehensive solution for river and lake management based on its rich experience in the black and odorous water body management and its own technological advantages.

Thoughts on Governance

It can be summarized in five steps: Analysis State - Find Cause - Determine Target – Regulate Governance –Implement Safeguard.

1. Conduct the ecological health assessment for water body on the basis of fully understanding of the natural environment, water resources and various pollution sources in the basin. Find the main environmental problem of watershed water, and the main cause of black odorous water body, based on the analysis of the status problem and the evaluation results.

 2 Clarify the objectives of comprehensive watershed management, determine the assessment indicators and requirements; based on the full understanding of the status, problems and causes.

 3 Analyze the influencing factors in the water system management process, based on the determined governance objectives, including water and soil resources regulation, pollution source control engineering, ecological protection engineering, supervision capacity building engineering and long-term operation management mechanism;

 4 Determine the remediation scheme for the internal source of the basin, demonstrate the feasibility of the governance plan by above analysis, to ensure that the governance goals can be achieved;

 5 Finally, propose corresponding safeguards for the smooth and steady carrying out of various projects in the implementation Scheme.
