Zhejiang Jiaxing Lake Dredging Project

This project is located in the northeast of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. The total amount of sediment slurry in the lake is about 120,300 m3 (under water), and the moisture content is about 80%, among which the slurry capacity in the old lake area is 68,500 m3, and in the new lake area is 51,800 m3. After dehydrating, it can be used for the resource utilization of projects, such as on-site landscaping and landscape building.  

Project processing objectives:

1.       Reduction of moisture content:

Dredged sludge has high moisture content, poor water holding capacity, small specific gravity and a flowing state. If it is directly transported, it not only has higher requirements on the transport vehicle, but also has higher transportation cost. Therefore, the reduction of the moisture content of sludge is beneficial to cost reduction and transportation.

2.       Reduction of organic matters content:

There is a problem of organic pollution in the sludge of the project. The risk of secondary pollution of organic pollutants to the environment is reduced by the addition of consolidation agent to oxidize and decompose some organic matters.

3.       Improvement of mechanical properties of sludge :

Through the addition of consolidation agent, the sludge has a certain strength, which facilitates the subsequent utilization of sludge resources.

4.       Resource utilization of sludge:

The moisture content can be reduced by dewatering the sludge. After dewatering, the sludge can be used for garden soil or brick making to realize the utilization of sludge resources. A 20-30cm sludge layer is reserved at the bottom of the lake for planting aquatic plants, which is conducive to the construction of ecological water bodies and the maintenance of ecological environment.
